Dr. Soos Principal of Seminole Springs Elementary

Seminole Springs Elementary

Seminole Springs Elementary opened it's doors in the Fall of 1989. It is a Pre-Kindergarten through grade five facility located half way between the cities of Eustis and Deland off Highway 44 in Lake County, Florida.

The campus is quiet, serene, well taken care of and the perfect setting for educational excellence. Our population is presently around 500 students.

Seminole Springs is meeting the requirements for class size reduction and has an average of 18 students in kindergarten through third grade and an average of 22 students in fourth and fifth grade classes.

Students attending Seminole Springs Elementary come from many different communities including the outskirts of Deland, Cassia, Pine Lakes, Eustis, Umatilla and Mount Dora. We are proud to be a school of choice for many families.

The school employs a full time Literacy Coach, Curriculum Resource Teacher, PASS (Positive Alternative to School Suspension)  Teacher, Mental Health Liaison,  Certified Media Specialist and Guidance Counselor.  The students also participate in enrichment activities taught by full time Art, Music, Physical Education and Library Media Specialist teachers.

Fifth grade students leaving our school will mostly attend Eustis Middle School, however, some students are also zoned for Umatilla Middle School or Mount Dora Middle School.
